WOMH was conceived in 2022 by me (Namrta Mohan, registered psychotherapist and founder of Talk Heals Psychotherapy), and my absolutely fabulous husband, Kapil Gaur ( brain behind both these entities). At this timeTalk Heals Psychotherapy was doing great at what it was meant to do, which was providing psychotherapy from the lens of holistic approach to mental wellness. However, we felt there was a missing puzzle piece. There was more to mental health, than just psychotherapy. Since then, we knew we needed to create a platform that would cater to the large spectrum of mental wellness. We didn’t only want to help individuals, couples, and families to heal and enjoy great mental health, but also to de-stigmatize mental health, especially in the brown diaspora, by spreading awareness.
